ORLIK - Mr. Richard D. Orlik, age 76 of Jenison, was called home on Sunday, September 5, 1999 after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Amelia Millie; his children, Richard E. Orlik of Hudsonville, Sheila and Jim Heaton of Caledonia; his grandchildren, Stacie and Larry Betteridge, Tom and Jendria Heaton, Danyel and Adam Heft and Justin R. Orlik; also expecting his first great-grandchild in April; his brother and sisters, George Merle Orlik of Marshall, Dorothy Stroud of CA, Harriet Frederick Schmid of Comstock Park and Delores Orlik of Grand Rapids; his sisters-in-law, Virginia Kris of Byron Center and Betty Orlik of Jenison. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Jenison with Fr. Denis Nash, celebrant. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. A Vigil Prayer Service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Greater Grand Rapids. The family will meet relatives and friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Jenison Chapel of Cook Funeral Home, 1889 Baldwin.
