He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce Curtis; children Melinda (Nick) Haight, Staci (Nick) Kowalski, and Amber (Andrew) Brookhouse; stepchildren Brandon Vredevoogd, Adam Sheeran, and Kelsey Sheeran; grandchildren Tessa, Makenna, Everhett, Brecken, Kason, and Mallory; siblings Kathy Curtis, Karen (Ray) Palmitier, Ken Curtis, and Karla Curtis; best friend of 44 years, Dale Dulyea; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Kevin retired earlier this year after 36 years with the USPS. He was very well respected by all of his coworkers, who continued to seek his guidance in retirement. He loved his family, sports, draft beer, and video poker. His grandchildren called him Grandpa Grump, which was kind of ironic since he was always smiling when with them. Kevin had a contagious smile and was known to his friends as the “Town Clown," however, he also had a gentle heart and could give the best life advice.
Private visitation with Kevin’s family and friends will be held Monday, November 30, 2020 at Cook Funeral Home (West building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville. A Celebration of Life will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 1 at Abundant Life Church of God, 4041 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, MI 49519. Pastor Rick South will be officiating.
In honor of Kevin and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House. The family welcomes memories and messages in their guest book online at www.cookcaresgrandville.com.
