Dale A. Land

Born March 22, 1940 in Wyoming, MI, Dale Arthur Land, age 82, went to be with his Lord Friday, February 17, 2023. Dale was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Naomi Land; loving wife, Ann Land; and brother, Roger Land.

Dale is survived by his daughter, Ruth (David) Sheppard; son, Nathan Land; sister, Muriel Land; sister-in-law, Esther Land; granddaughters Katie (Matt) Kilroy and Meghan Sheppard. He was proud to be a great-grandpa to Matthew and Hayden Kilroy.

Dale loved his Savior and his country. He served in the Air Force for 20 years, where he did a year tour in Vietnam during the war. While serving his country, he married Ann Nagel November 18, 1966. They were married for 50 years until Ann passed away in 2016. Dale was a member of South Baptist Church in Lansing, MI, where he faithfully served his Lord in the church by singing in the choir, working in the kitchen ministries, and in the Easter plays.

A Celebration of Dale’s Life will commence 11 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023, with visitation one hour prior, at Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418. Service will be livestreamed. Pastor Ben Cuthbert will be officiating. Interment will be at Strange Cemetery, Oneida Township.
