Clara Ellen Sutter (Strickland)

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Ersa Lawrence; her husband Ralph Strickland; and her daughters Kelly and Renee Strickland Self.

She is survived by her husband Thomas Sutter; children Kimberly (Randy) Bassin, Philip (Cindy) Strickland, Eric (Joan) Strickland, Kevin (Tammy) Strickland and Timothy Sutter; son-in-law Jim Self; 18 grandchildren – Nicole (Self) Johnson, Bradley Self, and Alaina Self; Kelsey Bassin, Jonathan Bassin, and Kyle Bassin; Philip Strickland II, Cassandra Strickland, and Joshua Strickland; Jessica (Strickland) Willows, Melanie Jenks, Trevor Jenks, and Kalyn Brockman; Alisha (Strickland) Keller, Melanie Strickland, Justin Strickland, and Tiffany Strickland; and Jason Sutter; three great-grandchildren – Brogan and Kellen Johnson, and Evelyn Grace Keller; her sisters Sue (Grover) Breen, Leah Salters and Judy (Nathan) Rose; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Greater Life Pentecostal Church, 1667 Wilson, S.W., Grand Rapids. Relatives and friends may meet with Clara’s family Friday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Cook Memorial Chapel (East building), 4235 Prairie St., S.W., Grandville, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of her service at church.
