Christopher Jason Auger

Christopher Jason Auger, age 49, went to be with the love of his life, Bridget, on November 20, 2024. Jason was also preceded in death by his son, Brendan Auger. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Caitlin and Genevieve; along with his mother, Sherrie Lloyd; father, Richard (Sue) Fielder; sisters Tonya (Ryan) Ross and Tina Rose; brothers Richard Fielder and Justin Fielder; mother-in-law, Margeurite Taylor; sister-in-law, Erin (Brian) Vitellaro; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jason had a deep love for life and shared his joy through countless activities with his beloved daughters, from shooting hoops and tossing a frisbee, to exploring nature, solving escape rooms, and tackling puzzles. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was a devoted Detroit Lions fan who cheered them on through every season. Family was always Jason’s top priority, and he cherished every moment spent with his daughters and his beloved cats. He found immense joy in practicing dances for daddy-daughter events, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Jason also valued his friendships, especially with his “card family,” who affectionately nicknamed him “Jake,” and his Lunch Time Gaming and fantasy sports groups, where his competitive spirit and camaraderie shone brightly. Jason was recently received into an exclusive group at MillerKnoll called the “Watercarriers,” which is reserved for employees with over 20 years of faithful service to the organization.

A celebration of Jason’s life will be held 6 p.m. Monday, November 25, 2024, with visitation beginning 5 p.m., at Cook Memorial Chapel (East Building), 4235 Prairie St. SW, Grandville, MI 49418.

The family requests that guests wear their favorite sports apparel in honor of Jason’s love for sports.
