Patricia J. St. Thomas

Patricia J. St. Thomas, 89, died of natural causes August 17, 2022, at Kansas City Hospice House. She was born May 18, 1933 in Rome, New York the only child/daughter of Ralph L. and Marie E. (DeGrazio) Esposito. Patricia graduated from Rome Free Academy, Class of 1950. Following graduation, she took classes at a local business school and worked for a local radio station. In 1955 she married Peter M. St. Thomas who was serving in the United States Navy and stationed in Alameda, California. Peter and Patricia originally met when they were 13. After Peter was discharged from the Navy in 1956 they moved back to Rome, New York where they began raising a family. Peter’s job was later transferred to Kansas City, Missouri in 1970. They settled in Grandview, Missouri where Patricia resided until her death. She was a member of Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church and was active in many church activities.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. Surviving are her sons Rick St. Thomas and his wife, Pam; Rob St. Thomas and his wife, Kristen; daughter Lynn St. Thomas; seven grandchildren, Brooke Wignall, Darren St. Thomas, Derick St. Thomas, Chayton Howard, Reece Howard, Luca St. Thomas and Nico St. Thomas; three great-grandchildren, Broxton Wignall, Presley Wignall and Samone (Sami) St. Thomas; sister-in-law Agnes St. Thomas of Rome, New York and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Kansas City Hospice House and Kingswood Senior Living.

A service of remembrance will be held at Coronation of Our Lady Catholic Church on Monday, August 22. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kansas City, following the mass.
