Brenda Gail Shirley

Brenda Gail Shirley passed gently in her sleep on November 30, 2020 at 60 years old at her residence in Village of Carroll Park, Grandview, MO. She was born on June 29, 1960 in Kansas City, MO, youngest of 4 siblings. She grew up in the Hickman Mills and Grandview areas and attended schools there. Brenda enjoyed the simple things in life. She liked her daily Coke or Pepsi, enjoyed outings, car-rides and visits. She enjoyed the holidays and festivities with relatives. Brenda looked forward to her chocolate-covered strawberries and loved to wear her sparkly “bling.” She liked to visit with her fellow residents as well as the nurses and staff. Brenda had quite the personality and sometimes said the cutest things over noticing small details. She liked to laugh and enjoyed life.

Her mother Norma and father Glen preceded her in death. Also her beloved dog “Butters.” She is survived by 2 sisters, Glenise Miller, Hill City, SD and Jenny Eastabrooks, Belton, MO; 1 brother Tim Shirley; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 7 at McGilley & George Funeral Home, 611 Chestnut, Belton, MO. There will be a visitation after the service followed by interment in Brookings Cemetery, Raytown, MO at 11:30 a.m.
