Betty Jo Shore Westfall, age 97, of Raymore, MO passed away October 8, 2024. She was born February 13, 1927 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Ray and Rose Ethel Houser Westfall. She attended Green City High School. Betty married Russell Shore in 1974. She worked as an Executive Secretary for 3 different presidents of COOP/Farmland Industries in her tenure as an employee. She was very active in gardening, the Clay County Clothes Closet and church fellowship.
Betty poured love and light into everything she touched for 97 years. Whether it was in her younger years as a professional businesswoman, her abundance of community work after retirement, or her forever dedication to the church, Betty did it all in love. Betty loved to garden and grow the most beautiful flowers to share with her loved ones. Often she would stop by and deliver a fresh bouquet just because you crossed her mind. Betty loved her family deeply and undeniably. Her brothers and sisters were her best friends growing up and it carried into adulthood. Betty never had any children of her own, but she was blessed with many nieces and nephews that she cared for unconditionally. Betty was a devout Christian and overly active member of the church. She loved the Lord and the many church families she has had over her years. Betty Jo Shore gave the purest love to the world for generations and she will be tremendously missed by all who love her.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Russell, her parents, six brothers and sisters and many other cherished family members. She is survived by a niece Bobbie S Hall, Raymore MO and many nieces and nephews, including great and great great.
