Suzanne C. Fitzgerald

Suzanne C. Fitzgerald, 82, passed away July 11th, 2018. She was born in Detroit to John J. and Marie (Bradley) Henninger. Sue is survived by her husband, Thomas F., son Thomas J. (Kathy) Fitzgerald, daughter Mary-Sue (Steve) Schrouder, and grandson Jack Fitzgerald. She graduated from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Ind. with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Sue worked as a social worker for the State of Michigan until her son was born, when she became a full-time mother. Sue enjoyed reading and traveled the Midwest in search of antiques. She loved Christmas and amassed an enviable collection of nativity sets and Santa Claus figures. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held at noon July 20, 2018 at Reyers North Valley Chapel, 2815 Fuller Ave., Grand Rapids, Mich. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Sue’s family would like to thank the wonderful, compassionate staff at the Christian Rest Home who cared for her in the last two years of her life.
