Phillip “Phil” Roland Stebbins Jr., 45, formerly of Grand Rapids, was welcomed into the presence of the Lord on March 10, 2023. His homegoing was sudden and unexpected, but we do not sorrow as those who have no hope. Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed for his compassion is new every morning and is never failing. He was born to his earthly home on May 16, 1977 to Martha and Phillip Stebbins, Sr. Phil was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and proudly served his country for 8 years. After his years of dedicated service Phil went on to work in construction, where after he settled down on a small family farm in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee. He will be deeply missed by all of his close friends and family.
Phil was preceded in death by: father, Phillip Stebbins Sr.; brother, Mark Middlin; and maternal grandfather, John Possett Sr.
Phil is survived by: wife, Merling; mother and step-father, Martha and Robert Deacon; children, Christopher, Tayla, and KaDee Stebbins; siblings, Elizabeth DeMercurio, Theresa Stebbins, Robert (Joanne) Stebbins, Brenda (Bernie) Parker, and Lynette Neer; as well as, many other close friends and extended family.
A memorial service will take place on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 11:00am at Reyers North Valley Chapel. The family will welcome guests one hour prior to the start of the service. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery.
