Michael “Mike” James Scoby, 43, of Grand Rapids passed away on September 5, 2023 at home.
Mike was born on August 2, 1980 in Grand Rapids at Butterworth Hospital to William Scoby and Barbara Jean Preston.
Mike was an avid movie watcher who loved horror and action movies. He was a lover of both animals and nature and enjoyed being outside exploring nature. He also liked fishing and catching turtles in his spare time. He was very hard working and in the words of his family he was always willing to help people.
Spending time with family was always important to him and he especially cherished spending time with his family sitting around the fire and enjoying some drinks.
Mike is survived by his father William Sr.; his three siblings Cherie, Rhonda Flak, and William Jr. He preceded in death by his mother Barbara.
