Marion Augusta Fischer

Marion Augusta Fischer, aged 96, died Friday, June 13, 2014 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Marion was born June 4, 1918 in Reed City, Michigan to August and Vernie Borck. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Howard, who died in 2002. Surviving Marion are her daughter Debra (Mark) Warwick; grandchildren, Chris (Tara) Warwick, Kelley (Matt) Kulis and Heather. Also surviving are her favorite nephews David, Harold, and Scott Borck. Marion was affectionately known as “Grandma Rose.” Marion was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church serving on the alter guild. She enjoyed her involvement in the American Legion, Kiwanis and the Casino Club. Marion was also an avid golfer and bowler. Marion enjoyed a long professional career as an assistant secretary treasurer with Leitelt Iron Works. Please join Marion’s family for visitation Tuesday, June 17, 2014 from 6-8pm at the Reyers North Valley Chapel. Funeral services will take place at 11am, Wednesday June 18 at the funeral chapel with Father Thomas Page officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice, Christian Rest Home or a charity of one’s choice.
