John Louis Simmons aged 32 of Alabama and formerly of Grand Rapids passed away March 25, 2012. He was preceded in death by his grandpa’s Louis Atkinson and John Simmons. John will be lovingly remembered by his children; Austin, Johnny, Kennedy, Dayna, the mother of his children, Jackie Simmons, parents; John (Lisa Mae) Simmons, Pamela (James Ranazzi) Simmons, brother Steven (Edatt) Simmons, Nicole (Paul) Giszewski, grandma’s Mary Jane Simmons, Maxine Atkinson and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. John was an Army Veteran that had three active tours in Iraq. He served in the infantry and was a member of 101st Airborne Division. He was a graduate of Creston High School and will be deeply missed. John touched a great deal of people’s lives. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Reyers North Valley Chapel 2815 Fuller Ave NE. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the funeral home. Memorials contributions may be made for his children.
