Jackie attended Rosholt High School in Wisconsin until the 10th grade, she then went on to graduate from PJ Jacobs High School in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. She married her love, William "Bill" Wanta, in 1973 and the couple spent 50 wonderful years together. She was a strong and driven military wife, always making sure to maintain the household while her husband was away. She was no stranger to change, as the military had her and Bill moving every 3 years. In her free time, she enjoyed listening to music - she loved classic rock and Christmas music, quilting, and baking. She was an amazing baker and always made plenty of sweet treats to share. She dedicated her life to her family and adored her grandchildren. She was a loving, caring, stubborn, and frugal women who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Jackie was preceded in death by: mother, Marion (Zblewski) Roman; and brother, Richard Roman.
Jackie is survived by: husband, Bill Wanta; son, Scott Wanta and daughter-in-law Chris Wanta; grandchildren, Jasper, Lee, and Riley Wanta; special cousins, Linda Garski, Mary Check, and Betty Jankowski; as well as, many close siblings-in-law.
In accordance with Jackie's wishes, cremation will take place and there are no services planned at this time.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff at Faith Hospice for their love and care given to Jackie in her final days.
