Diane Lynne Webster

Surviving are Diane’s children, Amy (Dave) Joldersma, along with their children Dylan, Dalton and Avery and Melissa Lake and her children Kendal, Jakob, Easton, and Emersyn. And great-granddaughter Ellyana (Elly), to whom Diane was “Ema”; and Robert (Valerie) Webster and their children Amber (Shane), Samantha (Kyle), Dylan and Adam, Scott’s children Austin and Zoie, and Kimberly (Steven) Neveau and their sons Alexander and Willard; 5 more great-grandchildren; sisters Joyce Cox and Sandie (Phil) Burke; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert “Webb” Webster, his son Scott Webster, and her brother Ken Meekhof.

After a long career at Kelvinator and Haworth, Diane retired, but shortly after began working at Home Instead as a home helper. She enjoyed running errands for people who were unable, sitting with and keeping people company. Diane couldn’t sit still, she was always putzing around looking for something to do, whether it was reupholstering car seats for Webb, repainting rooms in her house, or tending to her garden. One of her favorite hobbies was refinishing furniture. She appreciated the beauty of real wood, especially when she was able to bring it back to life.

Diane was a serious softball player in her day, known to her teammates as “Crip”. Along with Webb, she attended many car shows, even hosting her own to raise money for Court Appointed Special Advocates. Webb and Diane made a great team; he had the big ideas and she would make everything happen!

Above all, Diane loved spending time with her family. She had such a great relationship with all her grandkids, she loved to spend time with all of them. She especially loved Elly, and Elly loved her Ema. They loved to go on walks and bike rides. Diane enjoyed camping with her family in Charlevoix as well. She was especially proud of being able to travel to Texas to see her grandson Jakob graduate from basic military training to become an airman with the USAF. Diane will be remembered best as a strong and independent woman, and always there for her kids and grandchildren when they needed her. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Memorial services for Diane will take place Friday, December 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel, where family will receive visitors for one hour prior.
