He graduated from Holdenville High School in 1956 and moved to Grand Prairie, Texas, where he began working for General Motors. In 1962, Tommy married the love of his life, Sherry Lynn Massey Goad, and they had two children, Linda and Don. He continued working for GM until his retirement in 1986. Tommy served proudly in the United States Army as a communications specialist in Korea.
Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sherry, his brother, Ronald Goad and his sister in-law, Loretta Goad.
He is survived by his children, Linda Jurca and husband Kyle, and Don Goad and wife Teresa; his grandchildren, Brittany Scruggs and husband Hunter, Shelby Jurca, Seth Thompson, Laney Hoyt and husband Harrison; along with many cousins and friends.
We are grateful to the residents and staff at Mountain Creek Retirement Living for welcoming Dad so warmly over the past several months.
There will be a visitation on Monday, January 23rd from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, 2951 S. Belt Line Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75052. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, January 24th at 2:00 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
