Patricia Ray

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia May Reeves Ray announce her passing on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at the age of 81. Patricia was born on July 24, 1941, to Arthur Paul and Wilma Camp Reeves in Gainesville, Texas. She graduated from Odessa High School in 1959.

Patricia married the love of her life, Jerry Thomas Ray, on December 21, 1960. They moved to Grand Prairie in September 1965. Jerry predeceased her in 1974 and she never remarried after his death.

Patricia had two great passions in life: her family and her faith. She selflessly devoted her life to raising her children and participating in anything in which they were involved. She served her Lord and Savior by working for the First Baptist Church, Grand Prairie and then later at Indian Hills Baptist Church, Grand Prairie from which she retired after 25 years of service.

She is survived by her three children, Karen, Tommy (Tammy) and Laurie (Lamar); six grandchildren, Matthew, Justin (Emily), Ryan, Brett, Anthony (Shelby) and Ashlynn. Three great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Jeter, and Piper.

Funeral services are as follows: Visitation will be Friday, April 7 from 4 - 8 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home and Memorial Service will be held at Indian Hills Baptist Church, 814 Tamara Lane in Grand Prairie on Saturday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. with burial service immediately following at Southland Cemetery.
