Grand Prairie - Joseph J. Jordan passed away March 28, 2012, with cancer, at home with his family at his side. Joe was born October 31, 1925 in Dallas, Texas to Joseph M. and Henrietta Jordan. Joe was a World War II veteran. He went into the Army as a senior in high school in Texarkana, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Fred Jordan, and sister Ada Moore. Joseph was married June 14, 1952 to Jeanette Spivey, who survives him, along with son, Philip Jordan of Douglassville, Texas, daughter, Lisa Jordan of Grand Prairie, Texas, and grandson, Christopher Jordan of Grand Prairie. Three great grandsons, Payton, Tyler and Dylan, and their mother Christy. His sister, Billie Taylor of Cookville, Texas and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. Joe retired from AT&T/SBC/AT&T after 44 years.
Visitation is from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M., Friday, March 30, 2012 at Bean Massey Burge Funeral Home Belt Line Road.
Graveside funeral service will be held March 31, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Wheatland Cemetery, Dallas, Texas. (Wheatland and Hampton Road)
