Ida Lucille Glover (McLendon), aged 80, peacefully passed away on August 7, 2023, in Grand Prairie, TX. Born on July 30, 1943, in Beaumont, TX, Ida's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering faith.
Ida is survived by her loving son Kevin Glover and his wife Kathy, her devoted daughter Windy Anderson and her husband Mike, and her cherished grandchildren Sarah Anderson, Jordan Anderson, and James Chimel. She also leaves behind her four brothers and two sisters, Bill Wolcott, Frank McLendon, Ricky Coon, Eddie Coon, Lori Masters, and Eva Cudd.
Ida was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years, Harold L. Glover, and her dear brother Bob McLendon. Their memories will forever be treasured in the hearts of those who loved them.
Ida's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life. She found solace and strength in her devotion to Calvary Baptist Church, located in Grand Prairie, TX. It was within the walls of this sacred place that she sought guidance, found comfort, and built lifelong friendships.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing of Ida on Friday, August 11, 2023, from 6 to 8 PM at the esteemed Bean-Massey-Burge Funeral Home, located at 2951 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. A heartfelt memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church, situated at 401 W Church St, Grand Prairie, TX 75050 .
Ida Lucille Glover's presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, faith, and resilience will forever endure. May her soul find eternal peace and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew her
A committal service will take place Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
