Dorothy was born to Finis and Willie Mae Fulbright on October 18th, 1925 in Archer City, Texas. From her birth to her death she nurtured people around her with love, respect and a very strong faith in God. She mothered not only her two sons but, several other children, making a huge impact on their lives. She was not only an accomplished seamstress but, also one of the best cooks around. She would prepare holiday meals for the entire family with what seemed like very little effort. She loved her family deeply and would drop whatever task she was doing to come to the aid of any family member. Dorothy also possessed a strong work ethic throughout her life. She was always busy doing something. Of all of these accomplishments the one aspect of her life that was the most resounding was the fact that she was the Christian that most of us strive to be.
She is preceded in death by both her parents, her husband Wallace, son Kenneth, Sister Mary Retta Lackey, and Brother Ed Fulbright. Survivors include her son Tim and his wife Cyndi, Daughter-In- Law Connie; Grandchildren: Chad Pitman and his wife Anne, Steve Perkins, Holly Slater and her husband Blake, Chris Kirkland and Alex Pitman; Great-Grandchildren: Aaron Pitman, Dustin Pitman and Cole Slater. Siblings include Sister Edna Nanny, Sister-In-Law Betty Fulbright, Brother Tommy Fulbright and Sister June Fulbright Locke. Dorothy also leaves a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 11 am, on Monday, December 3, at CrossPoint Church of Christ, 3020 Bardin Road, Grand Prairie, Texas with Lead Minister Tim Hall officiating.
