Don was born in Oakwood, TX on June 13, 1937.
Don Smith was raised in Ennis, TX, graduated from Ennis High School, and received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, Don was a veteran of the United States Army.
Don was married to Belinda Smith on December 29, 1961 and raised four children together in Grand Prairie, TX.
Don had a career in finance with LTV, Texas Credit Union League and EDS, and had a passion for golf, bowling, and was an avid sports fan, especially for the Dallas Cowboys.
Don is survived by his wife Belinda; children Tracy Smith, Laurie Shumaker, Stephanie Yager, and Jon Smith; grandchildren Shelby, Jessica, Madeline, Hannah, Isabella, Carson, and Olivia; great-grandchildren Sophia, Caspian, Charlotte, Nora, Indica, Ember, Brystol and Bronc; son-in-law Rick and daughters-in-law Sarah and Amy.
