Alma was born in El Salto, Jalisco Mexico on November 26, 1951, and immediately brought happiness and love into the world. At age three, her mother moved her and her brothers to Big Spring, TX. After graduating from Big Spring High School where she was a cheerleader and volleyball player, Alma went on to attend Howard College. Alma set a precedent to go on and become the first Hispanic female to work at the Howard County Courthouse as a courthouse clerk.
In the summer of 1970, she met Manuel C. Lopez, the love of her life, and the two were inseparable. In 1975, Alma and Manuel moved to Dallas, TX to raise their family and further their education and careers. Alma became employed by Continental Trailways followed by Southwestern Bell, where she retired after 18 years. Following two years of retirement, Alma, being the career driven woman that she was, went on to work with Chiquita International, and most recently, GM Financial. Alma and Manuel were married for 50 loving years.
Alma was a kind, caring and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own.
