Sherri L. Searcy

Sherri passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 27, 2012 with her husband Charles, and mother Ella Franzitta, plus many family members at her side.

Sherri Lorraine Nusbaum was born March 02, 1957 in San Gabriel, California, to Ella Faye Nusbaum. On July 17, 1976, Sherri and Charles Searcy were wed in Grand Junction, Colorado.

To this couple was born three sons: David (Lisa) of Grand Junction, CO; Jim (Michelle) of Debeque, CO; Chucky (Keily) of Olathe, CO. Other survivors include her mother Ella Franzitta of Grand Junction, CO; two sisters: Mary (Carlos) Rodriguez of Lake Station, IN; Shella (Cary) Price of Denver, CO; two brothers: Jim Nusbaum of Grand Junction, CO; Orris (Stephanie) Franzitta of Cimmaron, KS. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, with another due in January, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and two very special aunts; Shirly Cyr of Grand Junction, CO, and Vi Searcy of Fruita, CO. Her extended family includes 2 sister in-laws: Anita (Bob) Johnston of Grand Junction, CO, and Lori Vaimagalo of Denver, CO; 3 brother in-laws: Frank (Rêne), Tom (Deb) Wilson, and Ray Searcy, all of Grand Junction, CO. Gone on home before Sherri was the only father she ever knew; Sam Franzitta, and 1 grandson; Michael Searcy.

Memorial Services will be held at Martin Mortuary on Saturday, September 1, 2012, at 3pm. A reception will follow at Orchard Mesa Baptist Church, 2748 B 1/2 Road Grand Junction, CO 81503.
