She loved only one man from the age of 17, he was 21. They were married in Hillsdale, Michigan, and continued to be married for over 60 years, until his passing in 2009. He was a proud Coast Guard Veteran of World War II. He was on the U.S.S. Missouri, and was present at the signing of the surrender.
She was the mother to three children: Dan, Judy and Jill; Grandmother to six, and Great-Grandmother to numerous others. She was born in Hillsdale, Michigan, on May 31, 1926. They raised their family mostly in the Denver area and then here in the valley.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the loving staff of the LaVilla Grande / Columbine Wing and the Hospice Staff. Thank you so much for your care of our mom during these last few years.
A graveside service will be held at the Palisade Cemetery, Palisade, CO on Monday, August 21, 2023 at 10:00am.
