Mrs. Mecum was an office manager.
She is survived by her husband, Daryld B.; two daughters, JoEllen Gracey of Grand Junction and Dana Lea Meyer of Vernal, Utah; two sisters, Cheryl Gilmer and Pat Larrechea, both of Grand Junction; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lynda Lea Mecum, age 67, died at Hospice on July 25, 215 from a continuing respiratory illness. She was surrounded by family when she peacefully passed away. She was born in North Platte, Nebraska, where she spent her childhood and attended North Platte High School. Where she also met her husband, Daryld, and married for almost 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Jeanne Longsine.
She is survived by husband, Daryld Mecum; daughters, JoEllen (Tom) Gracey and Dana (Jerry) Meyer; grandchildren, Amber Abeyta, Brandon Gracey, Day-Lah’ Johnson, Kaitlyn Atwood, Jr and Jadin Meyer; 4 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cheryl (Ken) Gilmer and Pat Larrechea; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lynda’s pride and joy was definitely her family. She managed a few convenient stores; 7-11, KG Foods and Total Petroleum. Lynda later retired after several years as an Office Manager at Hobby Lobby.
A private service will be held at a later date.
