Dorothy Mae Barnett died on Saturday April 24, 2021. She was born in Kansas City, KS on January 15, 1926 to Edgar Ray Barnett and Nadine Ethel Francis Brady Barnett. She spent her early years in Missouri and then moved to Los Angeles, CA as a teenager. In 1947 she married Thomas Young and they moved to Collbran, Co where they owned the Plateau Valley Stage Line. She was an active community member and a 10 year 4-H leader. In 1969 she moved to Grand Junction where she worked for the Chamber of Commerce and then the Unemployment office for many years. In 1973 she married Kenneth Dillard. She loved to travel and was always ready to go. She was a golfer, quilter, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her children April Young Boysen (George), Nancy Young Bertroch (Les), Tom Young (Shayne), 10 Grandchildren, and 18 Great Grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husbands Thomas Young and Kenneth Dillard, her parents, and her brother.
She loved her children,
grandchildren and great grandchildren dearly. You will be missed Mom.
