Donna was born on May 25, 1937 in Breckenridge, Minnesota from the union of Harley and Margaret (Kent) Loop. She spent her childhood in the Campbell, MN area and graduated from Campbell High School in 1955. Some of the sports she enjoyed playing during childhood included her love for ice skating. Donna liked being socially active and did so by teaching bible school as a youth. She was raised Baptist and practiced the Christian faith her entire life.
She attended Science School in Wahpeton, North Dakota and studied Bookkeeping. Donna was active and involved all her life and had a wide variety of interests. One of those activities was crocheting baby clothes for "Warm Hands, Warm Hearts" an organization that helped low income mothers and their newborns. She was a person who cared deeply for family.
She was not afraid to work hard, but always had time to reward herself with something fun. Which included camping, fishing, square dancing, bingo, golfing and gambling at Blackhawk. Donna enjoyed Caribbean cruises, even though she started traveling outside the country late in her life, she loved it.
Donna leaves behind two sons; Jay Fisher of Fond du Lac, WI and Todd Fisher of Thornton, CO, two daughters; Vicky Fisher of Grand Junction, CO and Cindy Downes of Fond du Lac, WI, two sisters; Delores Westerbur of Kelso, WA and Muriel Trappen of Minot, ND and two grandchildren, Erika Fisher and Jessie Downes.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, two sisters and two husbands.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Martin Mortuary.
Donna will be laid to rest in Kelso, Washington at a later date.
