Debra Janece Bingham was born January 17, 1956 in Grand Junction, Colorado to James Wallace Bingham and Doris Lee Bingham. The Binghams moved from their home on Gunnison Ave to Country Club Park in 1958 where Debra and her 3 siblings grew up. She attended the Assembly of God church at 4th and Grand until her sister Judy left for college and she no longer had a ride. Debra then attended the Methodist Church at 5th and White with her parents until she graduated from Grand Junction High School in 1974 and left for college. Debra earned an Associate Degree from Mesa State, in 1975, then a Bachelor’s Degree from Oral Roberts University in 1979, and returned to Grand Junction where she took a job as a manager at JCPenneys Downtown. She met John Davis while attending church at First Assembly of God, and they were married in 1980. They moved 13 times in the first 11 years of marriage and settled down on 24 Road where they raised their 6 children Amanda Potter (Chris), Brena Davis, Cody Davis (Alana), Darby Davis (Melissa), Erika Watson (Kory), and Garrett Davis (Caitlin). All their children currently reside in Colorado. Although a big family was not in her original plan, she considered them the absolute best part of her life. She enjoyed 16 grandchildren and lots of wonderful memories!
Debra was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Doris Bingham, her brother Gordon (Phylis) Bingham, her sister Judy (Richard) Duncan, and her son Fenton Davis.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Victory Life Church on April 8th, 2024 at 10:00 am. Lunch will be served following the service. All are welcome to attend.
