Grand Junction, Colorado resident, Irene Rice, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Larchwood Inns Nursing Home in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was 73 years of age.
She was born in Delta CO, raised on the Western Slope of Colorado, but lived in Gunnison CO most of her younger years, and graduated from high school there.
Her parents were Everett & May Henderson. She went to Blair Business School in Colorado Springs, CO.
We met each other on 7-2-1970 in Glenwood Springs, CO and we were together until her death on 1-30-2022. These were the very best years of my life, almost 52 years. Fun times were spent traveling around our beautiful land by motorcycle and camping in the mountains of Colorado. Irene spent many hours crocheting beautiful afghans for her family, creating her own unique patterns.
She is survived by her husband Danny, one daughter Auntia Rinker of Albuquerque, N.M. and four grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all of the people that knew her for her beautiful sense of humor; she was so kind and loving to everyone she met.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.MartinMortuary.com for the Rice family.
