While I didn't know Bill well, I was fortunate to work for VECO for several years. Even met his children and a couple of his grandchildren.   Working for VECO is among my fondest work memoris.  My sincerest condolances to the Allen family

I had the honor of knowing Bill for many years.  He was an amazing person.  In my 70 years, Bill is the only true visionary I ever met.  He saw the business world as he wanted it to be and made it happen.  He surrounded himself with very talented people, shared his vision with them and led them to the great success which became VECO International, including its many subsidiaries which operated world wide.  He was equally comfortable in the halls of Congress and with roughnecks on the North Slope.  I was with him once when he gave a speech to a group of VECO employees on the North Slope, all tough men, and by the end of Bill's speech I actually saw tears in the eyes of some of the men.  An amazing guy.  He will be greatly missed.

Was so sorry to hear about your dad.  A lot of people do not under stand the things that your dad did for the people of Alaska. He will be missed by many. I do know he loved you kids and wanted the best for you all.  Please accept Condolences  from my family.

My heart goes out to all Bill’s family! You all were his pride and joy! Of all the great things I will remember about your dad is that he loved his family to the ends of the earth. He had the most generous heart & gave so much to many, many people. 

I was privileged to get to work for VECO for only a few short years, but it was my favorite company to work for in all my career! I am very proud to say that I worked for Bill Allen. He was a great man and will always be remembered as such! ♥️

I believe your dad is now looking down on you along with your mom , Landon and other family that have reached the promised land before us - rooting you all on to be your best self, to continue to love others so one day you will all be reunited!

To Mark, Tammy and Shannon, Roberta and I send our condolences to you on the passing of your dad. He loved you all very much as I know you did him. We had many good times over the years and Bill did a lot of good things in his life.

I always tell people that they don’t make them like Bill any more. One of the last to do business on a handshake, he truly was a man of his word. What never will truly be known is how many people he helped in their lives. His generosity was unrivaled. The people who worked at VECO had a bond and it was like family. Bill built that and I’ll always have fond memories of him and his kids, who share the same genuine qualities as their Dad. Thank you Bill for all you did for so many people, my family included. RIP my friend.

Working for VECO enabled me to get my kids through school. You employed a lot of really good people. 

Bill was certainly a character and someone you never forget.  He had a great sense of dry humor and I still smile when I remember some of his stories. Rest In Peace Bill, you built a great company that enriched the lives of thousands of families. 

I am very sorry to hear about Bill's passing and offer my most sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Bill promised me a steak dinner. But I never got to collect it. I remember all the big dinners and fun we had.  All the parties. My husband, Carl and I went to Kenai to the Christmas party with his sister and ex wife. We had a blast.
