Anne is survived by her husband, John; daughters, Katy and Emma; parents, Ellie and Marvin; her twin, Marvin Walworth, and sisters, Julie Diers and Jill Walworth, as well as her multiple loving family in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Anne was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on March 21, 1965, to Marvin and Ellie (Ferencsik) Walworth. She graduated from St. Mary's College in Leavenworth, Kansas with a degree in computer programming. She went on to work for the Department of Defense and obtain a master's degree in computers in education from Lesley University before partnering with her husband in the growth and development of their company, MJ Thomas Photography. Together they raised their two daughters in Palisade, Colorado.
Beyond Anne's academic and professional accomplishments, she was defined by her overwhelming compassion, generosity and kindness for people from all walks of life. Not only was she the centerpiece of her entire extended family, she was a guiding force for each person that came into her life. From family, friends, employees or strangers, Anne's heart was completely focused on serving others.
Anne was known for opening her house to all her daughters' friends, encouraging their presence there and catering to their happiness. Anne became famous among them for how epic her spaghetti sauce was and that her refrigerator was eternally full. She became famous amongst her own friends for how strong she was willing to make their poolside margaritas and how frequently she offered to bartend.
Anne used her battle with cancer to spread her love with Jesus to anyone she came across. Whether she made dinners for the homeless shelter, lead bible studies, or visited fellow cancer patients in the hospital on her days off from treatment, there was not a way to help someone that she hadn't already thought of. Her faith in God transformed her personal struggle with cancer into a beautiful platform for her to spread her love for Jesus even further.
Anne's service will be held Monday, September 17th, at 2:00 p.m. at Downtown Vineyard Church.
