When Wayne was younger, he enjoyed water skiing and boating from the Clinton River to Lake St. Clair. Wayne liked boats so much, he even worked for Chris Craft Boat Repairs located in New Baltimore, Michigan. Throughout his life, Wayne worked as a wood model maker, template maker, and a dye developer for the automotive industry. An interesting fact is that Wayne also assisted in creating the model of the original Big Boy for the restaurant chain. As he grew older, he found a love for fishing and hunting up north whenever he could. Additionally, Wayne also worked at Lionel Trains for 3 years on the assembly line. Wayne will be missed dearly by those he loved and cherished.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Patricia Mount-Cooper; sons: Brett (Lisa Marie) Mount and Barry (Lisa Ann) Mount; and grandchildren: Jordan Mount, Kara Mount, Aaron Mount, and Cody Mount.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents: Arthur Cooper and Margaret Yorke.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Wayne.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hillfh.com for the Cooper family.
