David was born in Flint, Michigan, to the late David and Anna (Klout) Maul on June 13, 1945. David leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved wife of 45 years, Kathy; loving children Eric (Dawn) Maul and Rachel Maul; precious grandchildren Jacob and Liam Owenby; and dear sister Patti Rowe. Including all his friends new and old.
Dave was many things, but the most that he can be remembered for was he was always there for his family in time of need and was the foundation for our family. Dave’s work ethic and excellent attendance goes back to the days in school. Over the years, he was an outstanding employee at The Flint Journal and received many exceptional performance trophies for his dedication. During high school, he played basketball and was part of the championship team at Grand Blanc High School. Dave had a great love of sports and in his off time he enjoyed fishing or doing a puzzle with his grandsons. He was a loving grandfather of two boys, Jacob and Liam. David loved his family, and he will be dearly missed and always remembered in our hearts.
Daves belief in God shaped him into the man we all knew him to be. He devoted many years to His service taking him out of state and even bringing him home to teach his children the meaning of god. Even in the hardest times he never lost faith and taught us to never give up as God never did on us.
David is preceded in death by his parents, brother Rick Maul, and sisters Susan Balog and Mary Ann Burget.
Dave from all the family we love and miss you and we are happy you found peace. Thank you for all the years you gave us. You have paved the grounds for us to be the best we can from your work and dedication. We hope to be the best parts of you.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.hillfh.com for the Maul family.
