Seepersaud Nepal, 82, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2024. Born on November 24, 1941, in Letter Kenny Village, Corentyne Berbice, Guyana, Seepersaud led a remarkable life filled with dedication to family, hard work, and community.
He attended Auchlyne Scott School in Auchlyne Corentyne, laying the foundation for a lifetime of commitment and determination. On April 5, 1964, he married his beloved wife, Deokallie (Rosie), with whom he shared 60 beautiful years of marriage.
Seepersaud began his career in Guyana as a rice farmer in Blackbush Polder before working at the Bookers Sugar Estate in Port Morant. Seeking greater opportunities, he and his family emigrated to the United States, where he worked as a machinist for E&T Plastics in Long Island City and later as a New York City Transit bus driver. He approached each role with steadfast dedication, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends.
Outside of his professional life, Seepersaud was a passionate gardener who took immense pride in growing his own fruits and vegetables. He delighted in sharing the bounty of his garden with family and friends, a reflection of his generous and caring spirit.
Seepersaud is survived by his loving children: Raywattie (Chandro) Hoque, Guyatri (Geeta) Singh, Taromattie (Dato) Nepal, and Amar (Radesh) Nepal; his cherished grandchildren: Salma Hoque, Nagma (Suzy) Hoque, Chitranie (Amanda) Singh, Mohammad (David) Hoque, Danraj (Danny) Singh, Jonathan (Jonny) Mathura, Amelia Mathura, Keith Mathura, Angela (Angie) Mathura, and Neel Dhane Nepal; and his adored great-grandchildren: Maximus Ramirez, Salman Mortuza, Mohima Mortuza, Kai Hoque, Zoriyah Hamid, Emilyah Hamid, Eli Singh, and Aaliyah Brown. He is also survived by his siblings: Eva Khedaroo, Esardai Jagmohan, Ramdai Nepal, Harry Persaud Nepal, Dindial Nepaul, Dorris Bedassi, Rupdai Komkaran, and Narine Ramdhan.
A visitation for Seepersaud will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734. His funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the same location, followed by a witness cremation at Woodlawn Crematory from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM.
Seepersaud’s legacy of love, perseverance, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
