Pauline M. Martin, 77, passed away June 8, 2024 at Bridgewater Health and Rehabilitation Center in Ocala, Florida. Born on October 4, 1946 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late George D. Gince and Annette C. (Dumas) Gince and the wife of the late Paul A. Martin. She is survived by her son Paul A. Martin, Jr and his wife Heidi, of Melbourne, Florida, son Thomas A. Martin and his wife Maribel of Winter Garden, Florida, and daughter Jennifer A. Martin of Ocala, Florida. Also survived by her granddaughter Celine Martin, of Salisbury, New Hampshire, grandson Thomas Martin, Jr. and granddaughter Andrea Martin both of Winter Garden, Florida. She is also survived by her brother Gerald R. Gince of Cumberland, Rhode Island, nieces, and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her grandson, PFC. Zachary M. Martin, USMC and her brother George D. Gince Jr.
Pauline worked at various companies throughout her life in the accounts payable department. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading her Bible and she volunteered at her local church. Pauline worked with the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Women’s Clubs and served as a crossing guard when her children were small. Pauline would be found listening to John Denver or Barry Manilow while spending time at home with her dogs. Crafts were of particular interest to her in her younger years as was hosting family get-togethers and holiday parties. Pauline loved the Lord Jesus Christ and shared her faith with others.
Please join us at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Gotha, Florida on Friday, June 14 for visitation from 5-8pm, and on Saturday, June 15 for a Celebration of Life at 11:30am, with interment to follow.
Family and friends are encouraged to wear blue in remembrance of Pauline as it was her favorite color.
