She was born in Pompton Lakes NJ on December 19, 1952 to Roman and Marie Szymansky. In 1973, Linda married her sweetheart, John J Aiello. They spent 50 years as a team, building a family, running multiple successful businesses, managing a building and going on adventures including many weekends on their boat in Atlantic City, NJ. Their hard work and determination allowed them an early retirement in which they moved from NJ to FL and spent the past 13 years in her happy place, Mickey Mouse’s house.
Linda was a tenacious and hard-working go-getter. She put everyone before herself. Even in the most challenging of times, Linda’s concern for others shined through. She was strong, fun-loving, meticulously organized and an amazing cook. In 2014, she became a Nana, her most cherished role. She enjoyed sleepovers with her grandson, giving him endless “raspberries,” playful pool days, and cheering the loudest at his baseball games. She epitomized what it meant to be the #1 fan. We know she now has the best seat in the house for every future game.
Linda is survived by her spouse, John J Aiello, her children, Steve & Laura Aiello of FL, John J Aiello Jr of California, Kimberly Aiello of NJ, her grandson, Dominic Aiello, her siblings, Karen Dressler of NJ, Roman Szymansky (JoAnne) of FL, Joseph Szymansky (Nancy) of NJ. She was also cherished by her nieces, nephews and many treasured friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Roman & Marie Szymansky and her brothers-in-law, Scott Dressler and Alfred Sylvestri.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate her life on June 15, 2021 at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery from 12 – 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation in her name to Linda’s favorite charity, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html
