John Arnold Luedke was received into the Lord’s home Monday, June 28, 2021. Born to Herbert Luedke and Bernice (DeCook) Luedke on October 29, 1928 in Chicago, IL. In his early twenties John went to Tucson, Arizona to help his mother build an adobe house. He became interested in geology and loved climbing the mountains and collecting rock samples. He got a rock polisher and made some jewelry and sold it as a hobby.
He joined the Army in 1951 and met the love of his life, Angela Minichiello, at a USO dance. They were married on April 5, 1953 in Boston, MA. They shared their life together for 65 years until her death in 2019. The family spent many years in New England camping, hiking, and enjoying time with extended family. John and Angela then moved to Orlando, Florida where they lived for 30 years with great friends and neighbors. They hosted many friends and family at their home and pool in Florida until moving closer to their children in their later years. John worked as a process engineer in the printed circuit industry for three decades. He then pursued his lifelong love of rocks and gems.
John was predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Bernice, his wife Angela, sisters Grace and Nancy, and brother Hank. Survivors include five children, David, Gary, Nancy, Donna and Kenneth; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Coral and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral mass will be held on September 17, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church (5125 S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando, FL 32819). Graveside Service to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Florida.
