October 27, 1927 – June 25, 2022
Ismael Ramos; father, grandfather, brother, friend and war veteran, passed away peacefully and happily by the love of his children at the age of 94 years old. Ismael (Maelo), was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico. Son of Juan Jose Ramos Morales and Angelica Quiñones.
Maelo grew up in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico on a working 25 acres farm that produced both livestock and tropical fruits. Maelo then continued his journey by living around the U.S. and Puerto Rico. At the Age of 25 he served in the U.S. Army and was a part of the Borinqueneers (The Forgotten Heroes of a forgotten war) during the Korean War in 1952. After so much travel and building a career, he resided in Kissimmee, Florida.
Maelo will be remembered by his love for God, wonderful life stories, and his joy for watching wrestling. He also loved a great game of dominoes and an evening of Jeopardy. His gardening skills were like no other and his love for cooking mondongo was truly impressive. Sunday dinners at his house filled his heart with joy, as he watched his family come together.
Maelo will be lovingly remembered by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, extended family and many friends.
