Lou attended George Washington University and the University of Maryland studying towards a degree in cartography. Lou worked for the Department of Defense for 47 years, eventually becoming a Department Chief. Lou served with the 955th Engineering Company from 1966 to 1972 during the Vietnam Conflict, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Lou enjoyed woodworking, sailing and wreck diving with son Louis. After retirement, he went back to work at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport as an Aviation Security Officer.
Lou leaves behind his wife of 26 years, Debbie, sister Carol of Crofton, Maryland, son Louis of Goodyear, Arizona, step-daughters Connie and Tammy, grandchildren, Grant, Tyler, Ian, Sierra, Kaitlyn and Tiffany, nieces, Colleen and Kathy, and his two beloved and spoiled girls, Skeeter and Moochie.
