He moved to Kansas City, KS at the age of 19 where he trained as a journeyman meat cutter with Safeway making it his career. Bowling was his passion and he worked to become a scratch bowler. In 1958, he met Barbara, married her and moved to Arizona. He was a top Valley amateur bowler in the 1960s and represented Arizona in the 1965 US Amateur Bowling Association Tournament in Lansing, MI.
His deep sense of commitment to his wife and his family helped him decide to remain an amateur in Arizona instead of turning pro and he built his family and his business while being a force in bowling houses in Phoenix and Flagstaff well into the 1990s.
Wall was a man with a mission, he believed in excellence in all that you do and he always believed that his family came first. Wally was a role model for perseverance and dedication to all who he met.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara Ann Justiss; daughter Sylvia Spillet (Dennis) of Litchfield Park, AZ; son Gary Justiss of Goodyear, AZ; brother Darwin Justiss of Tuscaloosa, AL; and 1 grandchild Ryan (Shelby) of Goodyear, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Wynelle, and brother Mackay.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 11th at Lighthouse Fellowship Church, 3015 N. Jackrabbit Trail, Litchfield Park, AZ.
