Rudy and his wife of 56 years, Virginia, moved to Avondale, Arizona 31 years ago. Before that, they lived in Illinois for almost 25 years. While living in Chicago, Rudy worked for Skidmore, Owings, & Merrill as a structural draftsman. He was well respected by his colleagues and peers. Rudy and Virginia would often host large BBQ’s for large groups of coworkers, neighbors, and their families.
Rudy was passionate about food. He loved to try new recipes and sharing them with his family. He was also an avid golfer and bowler. He enjoyed playing in tournaments, and was often very successful in them. He also loved the outdoors and could frequently be found fishing or hunting.
Rudy was known for his generosity, kindness, and hospitality. He and Virginia willingly opened their home to all their family and friends in need. He valued family and friends more than anything is this world He found joy in the simple things in life, especially keno, Elvis, and drinking Pepsi.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Virginia Alejandria; daughter and son-in-law Nenette and Chris Palermo; granddaughter, Priscilla Palermo; sisters, Leticia Rhoads, Zenaida Trefry, Imelda Brar; and brothers Caesar Alejandria and Emilio Alejandria.
A service will be held at 10am, Friday, September 30, 2022 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (13720 W. Thomas Rd, Avondale, Arizona, 85392). Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery (9925 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, Arizona 85392).
