Elida Reyna Morales, 78, of Avondale, Arizona, passed away in her home surrounded by her family. She went to be with her Lord and Savor on March 28, 2016. Elida was born on March 12, 1938 in Ecleto, TX. Her family moved to Arizona when she was 12 years old. She was a farm worker, a housewife and an amazing mother who raised twelve children. She was a devoted servant of God. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Elida is survived by five daughters, Alma Lopez, Maria Ferguson, Isabelle Arundel, Belinda Treviño and Jocelyn Ledesma; seven sons, Raul, Jorge, Rogelio, Ruben, Richard, and Gilbert Morales, and Jose Zavala; three sisters, Juanita Cordova, Lydia Garcia and Carolina Perez; 44 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be at 10:00 am, with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Road, Avondale, AZ.
