Michael Barry

Michael Barry, 52, of Tonopah, Arizona died November 13, 2013 instantly of heart failure.  He was born April 7, 1961 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Goebel Barry.  Michael was a well respected sound and state technician in the music industry.  Together with his company, MJB Ventures, Inc., he helped bring concerts to life between Phoenix and Detroit.  In recent years, he devoted his time to his church, Valley Baptist, providing both sound and technical skills.  He is survived by his mother Goebel Barry; stepsisters Janet LaDue and Gaylee Tega; stepbrothers Bob and Bill Creller; cousins Karole Kieltyka, Beth Barton, Barry Barton, Chelsea Krist, Casey Krist, Elise Barton, Kiara Barton, Debbie Kittle; stepmother Marion Barry and aunt Georgia “Do” Cheek.  He was preceded in death by his father James R. Barry.  A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 23rd, 2013 at Valley Baptist Church, 37702 W. Indian School Road, Tonopah, AZ.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with a Luncheon reception immediately after the services.  No graveside services will be held.  In honor of Michael Barry, donations can be made to The Valley Baptist Church Food Bank.  Condolences can be sent to www.thompsonfuneralchapel.com.  Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson Funeral Chapel in Goodyear, Arizona.
