McCullion Alma

Alma J. McCullion, 87 of Buckeye, AZ passed away January 20, 2017. She was born November 9, 1929 in Aliquippa, PA to Joseph and Nancy Kennedy Vrabel. Alma obtained a master’s degree in education. She taught elementary school for 20 years with distinction in Hubbard, OH. She retired as a consultant for the state of Ohio in Special Education. She belonged to the Hubbard Education Association as well as the Ohio Education Association. She was a member of St Henry’s Parish and the Confraternity of Christian Mothers. Alma was a passionate fan of Notre Dame and Ohio State universities. She was fiercely loyal to friends and relatives and beloved by colleagues and family.

Alma is survived by her daughter, Nancy Stiver; sister, Patricia Vrabel; brothers, Gerald and William Vrabel; and two grandsons, Gerald and Kevin Stiver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael McCullion; parents, Joseph and Nancy Vrabel; and brothers, Kenneth and Joseph Vrabel. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road, Goodyear, AZ.
