Karen Louise Vassey nee Turnage, age 62, passed away in Phoenix, AZ on January 25, 2011 following a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and grandmother. She was born May 27, 1948 in Taft, CA and moved to Arizona in 1981. She was preceded in death by her mother V. Darleen Turnage of Avondale, AZ, sister Kathryn Lynn Kuntz of Fellows, CA, grandparents Ralph Chance and Alta Chance-Evans of Taft, CA and William(Bill) T and Eva Turnage of Maricopa, CA. Karen is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Michael) Johnson of Belvidere, TN, two sons Troy (Lisa) Milam of Palm Bay, FL and Jason (Carla) Milam of Phoenix, AZ, father Roy Turnage Sr. of Avondale, AZ brother Roy(Debbie) Turnage Jr., of Goodyear, AZ, grandson Chris Williams of Belvidere, TN. A private family memorial will take place at a later date.
