Glenn Gilliam

Glenn Gray Gilliam “Jake”, 79, of Phoenix, AZ died May 20, 2014 in Goodyear, AZ.  He was born March 30, 1935 to William Ralph and Caroline Gilliam in New Bern, NC.  He served in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1981 and retired as an MSGT after 26 years.  He worked for McDonnell Douglas, Lockheed Martin, and Dyna Corp for 20 years.  He is survived by his wife JoAnn Eleanor Gilliam; daughter Brenda Michelle Gilliam; sister Carolyn Brown; and four grandchildren: Bryana Monique McClain, Essence Charisse McClain, Destiny Chaneice McClain and Faith Alexis Ford.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Dominique De’Von McClain, father Ralph Gilliam, mother Caroline Gillette Gilliam, brother Alvin Gilliam, sister Iris DeBose, brother Robert Lee Gilliam, sister Verdie Elizabeth Hargett, and brother William Gilliam.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am on May 24th, 2014 at Prayer Assembly, 4520 W. McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85035 with a viewing one hour prior.  Burial will follow in procession to National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N.
