Evangelina Barraza Acosta, 62, of Avondale, AZ died September 7, 2014 in Avondale, Az. She was born October 25, 1951 in Santiago Papasquiaro, Durango, Mexico to Pedro and Gregoria Barraza. She is survived by her daughter Thelma Acosta; sons Lorenzo, Noel, and Dino Acosta; mother Gregoria Barraza; sisters Blanca, Nora, Griselda, Sylvia, Ortencia, Celia, Hilda; brothers Pedro (Pepe), Roque; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Olga Chavez and husband Lorenzo Acosta. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 9pm on Tuesday, September 16th at Thompson Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Rd, Goodyear, AZ. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, September 17th at St. John Vianney Parish, 539 La Pasada Blvd, Goodyear, AZ.
