Edna "Granny" Holland, 102, of Goodyear died Aug. 7, 2011, in Goodyear.
Mrs. Holland was born Jan. 21, 1909, in Thompson, Ohio, and moved to Arizona in 1953.
Mrs. Holland was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked at the U.S. defense plant in Ohio as a "Rosie the Riveter." She was an 80-year member of the Easter Star and was the first worthy matron of the Acacia Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Holland is survived by one son, Gail Trask; one daughter, Gratia Sheppard; eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren.
A service with an Eastern Star ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, with visitation just before the service at 10 a.m., at Acacia Lodge, 1503 N. Dysart Road in Avondale.
Thompson's Valley West Funeral Chapel in Goodyear made the arrangements.
