Donald Bennet

Donald Hugh Bennett was born on April 5, 1938, in Dos Palos, CA  and passed away surrounded by his family on August 16, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, accomplished real estate developer, business owner and West Valley philanthropist.

Don and his wife Lavonne moved to Arizona in 1962 where he farmed in Eloy and Harquahala Valley.  In 1968, Don began a new career in real estate and real estate development.  Founding TRES Realty in 1972, Don formed one of the first full service commercial and residential brokerages in the West Valley communities of Goodyear and Litchfield Park. In 1996, Don sold TRES Realty and formed Don Bennett and Associates, focusing on commercial development, leasing and land sales.

Don enjoyed a lifelong passion for hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and with his many friends.

Don is survived by his wife, Lavonne, sons Craig and Michael (Rose), brother Wesley Bennett, sister Michelle Roeser (Bob), grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Don’s memorial service is scheduled for Friday, August 24 at 11:00 am at The Church of Litchfield Park, 300 N. Old Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340.
