Davis Samie

Mr. Samie W. Davis, 66, of Goodyear, AZ died August 25, 2015. He was born May 27, 1949 to Sam and Doris Davis in Nashville, TN. Mr. Davis served in the United States Navy from 1967 to 1973 as a pilot with the rank of Captain. He earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon and was an active member of the Tailhook Association.

Mr. Davis earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and a degree from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.

Mr. Davis worked as a Chief flight instructor for Next Treks in 2004, a flight instructor for Air Flight Academy in 2006 and in 2007 as the FAA Assistant Chief Instructor for CAE Global Academy Sabena Airline Training Center in Mesa, AZ. In addition to his work, Mr. Davis was a volunteer at West Valley Hospital for over 2 years.

He is survived by his wife Maria Davis, daughters Erin Stewart and Kristen Molenhouse of Chicago IL, son Eric Wilson of Ontario, CA, sister Elaine Davis, mother Doris Davis and five grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 am Friday October 23, at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 539 E La Pasada Blvd, Goodyear, AZ 85338
